Earlier in September Oslo International Rotary Club had the pleasure to find out that Skaugum Rotaryklubb will continue to be a part of our success story in Bangladesh.
Helle Kjørlaug – DG 2024 – 2025, representing Skaugum RC shared with us the wonderful news that their Club will support Arifa Akter throughout her Bachelor Program. Arifa who is a Student of Doctor of Veterinarian Medicine, enrolled in our OIRC Scholarship program in 2023.
Our partnership with Skaugum Rotaryklubb has already become a tradition. During the Rotary year 2023 – 2024 they supported Tarin Tabaschum from the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology at Sylhet Agricultural University, which enabled her to finish her Master program.
This is the 12th year when Oslo International Rotary Club is conducting the OIRC Scholarship program in Bangladesh. The program is a collaboration with Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU) and aims to support underprivileged young students from particularly poor areas who want to take higher education.
