OIRC updates on the Rotary Peace Fellowship

Earlier this year, our Club had the privilege to register its first candidate for the Rotary peace Fellowship. Tasmia Aksi. Tasmia was selected after a carefully conducted process by our Service Committe, she has an impressive background in the work with humanitarian programs, and we are very proud to have her as our candidate for the Rotary Peace Fellowship Program.

Tasmia has shared with us in June that her application for the Rotary Peace Fellowship has been approved for the next step, and in early August we were happy to hear from her that the University of Queensland, Australia is reviewing my application and an interview is about to be schedule in this regard.

Our Club is so proud to support Tasmia in this process, but we couldn’t have gotten so far without the support of Per Aukner, the facilitator for Rotary Peace Fellowship in District 2310. You can read here https://d2310.rotary.no/no/fredsstudier more about work with peace Studies in our District.

If you would like to know more about applying for the Rotary Peace Fellowship or you know someone who might be a good candidate for the program, let us know by sending us an e-mail to oircpresident[at]gmail.com.
