It has always been a part of our Club’s brand at Oslo International Rotary Club, to constantly improve our members’ skills, to think new, innovative and to invest ourselves into exchanging ideas and knowledge with other Rotarians. After establishing the new Club Board for the coming Rotary year, we decided to keep attending the most important training opportunities in our district and region.

At the end of January, our incoming Club President, Gabriele Ghiglio, together with Fredrick Mulenga, member of our Board both during this and the next Rotary year, have started to attend the seminars of the Rotary Leadership Institute. RLI seeks to provide quality education in Rotary knowledge and leadership skills to Rotarians interested in developing their Rotary participation and to those identified by Rotary Clubs as having a potential in club leadership. These educational opportunities will teach skills that will benefit the members in their lives and in their volunteer service. In April, Tor Petter Gulbrandsen from Frogner Rotary Club will visit our Club and give a detailed presentation of the Rotary Leadership Institute. Let us know if you would like to attend this meeting!
Early in February, our president, Irina Tanase, graduated from the facilitator training for Club Visioning, under the organization of Club Visioning Nordic. Club Visioning is the process through which Rotary Clubs build a vision of the club “not as it is, but as it can become.” The vision presents clubs with a strong path toward the future while enrolling current membership toward a clear set of goals. The purpose of attending this class is for our Club to join the efforts in our Rotary District to strengthening the clubs’ strategies.

In March, our club’s member Besir Isakovic represented our Club at the President Training Seminar in our District, on behalf of our incoming Club president. Besir is one of the youngest members in our Club, with remarkable contributions in our work with Youth Exchange and as part of the team preparing this year’s edition of the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards in District 2310.
Because it is our Club’s ambition to later access the facilities of The Rotary Foundation program for the development of our projects, our incoming Club Secretary, Ena Beso Isakovic will attend in April this year’s training for the TRF program in our District. Developments!
Stay close to us for updates on all these amazing developments!
